How to configure a dial-up connection for Windows Vista

Please follow these step-by-step instructions to manually set up a dial-up connection in Windows Vista.

Click on Start, then select the Control Panel 

Double-click Network and Sharing Center

Click on Set up a connection or network. 

Click on Setup dial-up connection

Click on Dial-up 

1. Dial-up phone number:  local dial-up phone number from http://www.succeed.net/isp/statewide.html (such as 216-1240 for Yuba City)

2. User name field: type in your <login name>

3. Password field, type in <your password>, optionally check "Remember this password"

4. Connection name: type in <Succeed.Net>

5. Click the "Connect" button

If you get this window, you have successfully connected to the Internet. Click on Close. 

Note: If this window did not appear either the username or password was entered in incorrectly, or there is something wrong with you physical connection (modem, computer, or phone line).

Click on the "Close" button
