Changing Gearbox Software Phone Numbers (PC)

Note: New phone numbers and other changes are automatically sent to your computer when you login in the background.

1. Right click on the Succeed.Net Icon in the lower right of your screen.  Click on Open Succeed.

2. Click on Tools, then select Preferences.

3. Choose the (slipstream) number (all end in 1241) appropriate for your dial-up area.

4. Click Save.

5. Click Connect to the new number.

Note: If you have trouble connecting to the new statewide access numbers we have found that 90% of the time the problem is corrected by resetting your modem to factory defaults or using an init string.  This can be accomplished by:

1. Start menu --> Control Panels --> Modems

2. Click on your modem --> Click on Properties button

3. Click on the Connection tab --> Click on Advanced button

4. Type the init string (or cut & paste) into the Extra settings text box.

If you have a USRobotics or 3Com modem just enter "AT&F1", if you have another brand of modem please reference our modem init string database.
