Updating Succeed.Net Dial-up Access (PC)
(Windows 95, 98, ME)
Instructions:
1.
From the Windows desktop, double-click the My
Computer icon then open the Dial-up
Networking folder.
2.
Right-click the Succeed.Net
icon then select Properties from
the pop-up menu. You should see a window similar to the one
below.
3.
Change the phone number in General tab of the Properties window to reflect the Succeed.Net access number for your
area (An updated list of access numbers can be found at
here).

4. Click
on the Server Types tab. Verify that the settings match the
window below

5. Click
OK to close all windows
YOU'RE DONE!
Note: If
you have trouble connecting to the new statewide access numbers we have
found that 90% of the time the problem is corrected by resetting your
modem to factory defaults or using an init string. This can be
accomplished by:
1. Start menu -->
Control Panels --> Modems
2. Click on your modem
--> Click on Properties button
3. Click on the Connection
tab --> Click on Advanced button
4. Type the init string
(or cut & paste) into the Extra settings text box.
If you have a
USRobotics or 3Com modem just enter "AT&F1", if you have
another brand of modem please reference our modem
init string database.
