DSL / Wireless installer
(Subcontractor or full-time)
Description: Install physical ethernet or telephone cabling and DSL
or Wireless equipment in residential and business locations.
Primary focus will be residential and commercial wireless installations
of our wireless internet access equipment.
Requirements:
-
At least 1 year experience in DSL, Wireless, or
Satellite TV installations.

Must have basic computer networking
setup and installation skills. Must be very familiar with basic
Internet configuration (TCP/IP settings, email)

Must have general building
construction knowledge and be able to do good clean looking, long lasting
installations.

Must have own tools and
a good condition work vehicle (truck or van) that can hold
up to a 24ft ladder.
-
Must be good with time
management and have strong customer service skills.
-
Being able to climb
towers up to 150' a plus, but not necessary.
-
Subcontractor Pay:
per job basis + sales bonuses (average install pays $100 plus
any add-ons you can sell customer). Sub must provide CAT5 cabling
and basic mounting parts.
Full-time Pay: $12-15
per hour based on experience + company install truck OR mileage if you
have your own truck.
Computer Network Admin
Description: Supervise and manage our computer
networking division (currently includes 2 other technicians) and around
50+ business customers (typical 5-50 PC's). Manage client
networks, servers, and workstations. Create sales and service
quotes. Perform installations and repairs of workstations, servers, and
network equipment (firewalls, routers, indoor wireless). Perform documentation, planning, sales, onsite
technical work. Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings.
Requirements:

Ability to
effectively communicate with customers, peers, supervisors, and
managers.

Excellent
written and oral communication skills.

Ability to
work on complex tasks without requiring supervision and
following policies and guidelines as established by the
organization.

Proven
analytical and problem solving skills.

Full
disposition and ability to document processes and procedures, as
indicated by guidelines.

Project
management skills in a demanding work environment.

Ability to
prioritize and manage multiple projects and technicians.

Working
knowledge of MS Windows 2000/3, including MS Exchange 2003, IIS,
WINS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
-
Working
knowledge or strong desire to learn wireless technologies.
-
Knowledge or
familiarity with hardware-based firewall equipment (NetScreen,
Sonicwall, etc).
-
Desire and
ability to learn new technologies as required by the position.
- Understand the
importance of billing documentation and inventory procedures.
- Programming
skills (PERL, Shell Scripts, PHP, MySQL) are a plus as well as
UNIX server knowledge (Linux or Freebsd)
Minimal
Educational Level:
-
Bachelors
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or closely
related field (preferred).
Equivalent experience
considered.

MCSE, CCNA and similar
certifications a plus
Experience:
-
Experience in
Technical Customer Service
-
History of
strong contributor to the organization in a team-based
environment.

Willingness
and desire to learn and adapt to operational procedures as
dictated by guidelines.
Pay: $40k-$50k / year
base + bonuses depending on experience (80k+ year potential) + medical
savings account
